Lake Ferry weekend away confirmed for 4-5 November. Social event on the Saturday night - I will just need to confirm numbers the week before to finalise the dinner booking, so either register for the event on Facebook or email admin@wwa.org.nz if you are coming.
Make your own accomodation arrangements - plenty of options: rent a house, camp or cabin in the campground, or the hotel itself.
Bring all your toys: windsurf gear, surboards, SUPs, mountain bikes etc. Kitesurfers welcome too! Heaps of options in the Wairarapa. Lake Ferry is a great slalom, freestyle and intermediate sailing location in southerly or northerly winds. It is fine for learners - just make sure you are in touch with someone first who is familiar with the local conditions. I recommend booties as a bit rocky underfoot where you launch from. Plenty of surf breaks around the Cape Palliser coast for windsurfing, surfing or SUPing.
